Live Notifications Bot

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how the Live Notifications bot (the "Bot"), operated by National STOL (the "Operator", "we", "us"), accesses, uses, and stores information. The Bot uses the YouTube API Services. By using the Bot or being a member of a Discord server where the Bot is active, you agree to this policy.

What the Bot Does

The Bot monitors publicly available YouTube channels and posts a notification in a designated Discord channel when a monitored channel starts a live stream. The notification contains the stream's title and its public YouTube URL, directing viewers to watch on YouTube.

Information We Access via the YouTube API

The Bot uses the YouTube Data API v3 with a public API key. It does not use OAuth and does not request access to, collect, or store any YouTube user's account information, login credentials, watch history, subscriptions, or any other private or personal data.

The Bot accesses only publicly available metadata through two read-only endpoints:

The Bot does not download, store, embed, proxy, or modify any video or audio content.

Information We Store

The Bot stores the minimum data required to function, on the Operator's own server:

The Bot does not collect or store data about individual Discord members, message contents, YouTube viewers, or any YouTube user's personal information.

How We Use Information

Information is used only to detect live streams and post notification messages in Discord. We do not sell, rent, share, or transfer any data to third parties, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

Data Retention

Transient stream-tracking state is automatically removed once a stream ends (after a 45-minute confirmation delay) and stale entries are pruned after 24 hours. Monitored-channel configuration is retained until an administrator removes the channel via the Bot's commands.

YouTube and Google

The Bot's use of YouTube API Services is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Because the Bot does not access any YouTube user account, there is no stored YouTube authorization for you to revoke. You can review or manage data Google holds about you, and control third-party app access to your Google account, via the Google security settings.

Children's Privacy

The Bot is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted at this location with an updated "Last updated" date.
